This course is AHA accredited and you will receive the same course completion card after completing your skills as you would from taking a traditional instructor-led class.  BLS HeartCode® Part 1 is NOT included in the $50 purchase of a skills session. HeartCode® BLS uses the latest eSimulation technology to enable students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities, this course teaches BLS knowledge and skills.  This method of learning provides training consistency, adaptability to different learning styles, and flexibility for the student’s and employer’s time. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making and skills development. Blended training also supports the need for hands-on learning of psychomotor skills. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation.

Students who successfully complete the BLS Course online (including achieving a score of 84% or higher on the course exam) and the hands-on session will receive a BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years.

This course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.  Infant, child and adult guidelines are included.

Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course and is designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for CPR and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

Upon successful completion of both portions of the course, students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years.

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to:

CPR SKILLS instruction includes high-quality compressions, airway management, breathing, and how to use a mask.
